The Essay Topics Of Machiavellis Essay Topics
The Essay Topics Of Machiavelli's Essay TopicsAn interesting feature of Machiavelli's essay topics is that, as well as the great importance he attaches to power, there is also a common element in them, which is loyalty. The Machiavellian individual has some attitude of false loyalty towards an external power or other external persons. But this false loyalty is so real that it can actually cause all kinds of evils.Even at the beginning of his career, before he became a politician and a member of one of the right-wing parties, he articulated the opinion that not all right-wing parties are naturally inclined to be loyal to the state. It can be expected that as he did become a politician and a member of one of the right-wing parties, he did not really change his mind on this matter. It would seem that Machiavelli could have been more principled and tried to be a friend of the state, but he could not. He had to be loyal to his party and himself. One can have loyalty towards friends, but st ill have to display it for the good of the state. True loyalty is not displayed for any personal benefit. He felt that as long as the state was the best, the individual will lose nothing by showing loyalty towards the state. The reason for this is simple. The State is the personification of goodness, or goodness is the very foundation of the state. As Machiavelli noted that there was such loyalty, there was also some feeling that it was wrong for the state to use force against the weaker states, especially if there were no possible reason for them to be stronger than they were. This was the reason why the States, which were not powerful enough to maintain their power, were actually un-loyal to the society in general. The basic question that must be asked is, what kind of balance is maintained between the interests of the individual and the interests of the state. We can read a lot of opinions on this matter, some political philosophers hold the opinion that one must stay loyal to the state at all costs. Others think that loyalty must be non-violent and must include some gesture of support, like an open door policy, for example. There are many political philosophers who believe that our loyalties should always be to the society, and we should not compromise the principles for the sake of the security of the state. All these ideas are certainly viable. However, we can note that a society cannot survive without good people. And the simplest truth about Machiavelli's essay topics is that there is no way that the interests of the state can be served if the state or its government does not allow for the growth of a stable political environment. For without a stable political environment, you cannot serve the interest of the people, you cannot make money, and you cannot grow a society. In fact, a stable political environment can only be made if certain people agree on a certain political system.Think about it. You can have a perfect economy, an ideal form of law, and the best form of social order, but if there is no guarantee that there will be stability, that everything will work out fine, the growth of the society will be hindered. Therefore, the preservation of order must be the concern of the state, as the attainment of order must always take precedence over the pursuit of power. This is the basic wisdom of Machiavelli's essay topics.
